Speedway Sleeper is the musical project of Ryan Nelson. Utilizing synthesizers, drum machines, electric guitar, and vocals: songs are constructed layer by layer in front of the audience by employing live looping techniques. Stylistically ranging from synth-pop to indie rock, Speedway Sleeper is at times dark and brooding and at others soaring and triumphant. Earnest vocals and shimmering guitar float over grinding synth lines and thumping drum machine to create a truly unique live act.
